Welcome to Primary 3!

We are now in Key Stage 1 and we will continue to build upon skills that the children have been developing in Foundation Stage throughout the year.

Children explore learning in all areas of the Northern Ireland Curriculum; Language and Literacy, Mathematics and Numeracy, World Around Us, PDMU, Physical Education, Religious Education and The Arts. The children are supported in the development of key skills through engaging learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom environment.

Lots of topics are delivered through activity-based learning.  Our topics this year are Me and My Senses, Winter, Weather, Animals and Transport.

We focus on a new fairy Tale each month for our Literacy.

Trips: Pantomime in Newry Town Hall

End of year trip to Belfast Zoo.
