Primary 2

Welcome to our Primary Two class page.

The class teachers are Mrs K. Vint and Miss K. Walsh.

Our teaching assistant is Miss A. Killen.

The Primary Two foundation experience is an opportunity for children to build on and consolidate previous learning from Primary One. Children explore learning in all areas of the Northern Ireland Curriculum; Language and Literacy, Mathematics and Numeracy, World Around Us, PDMU, Physical Education and The Arts.

Play Based Learning is an important part of the Primary Two curriculum, both inside and outside.

We encourage the children to have fun whilst learning.

A variety of topics are studied in Primary two. These include All About Me, Our Eyes, Healthy Eating with a particular emphasis on Fruit and Vegetables, Houses and Homes, Recycling and The Ocean and Sea Life.

Ways to help your child at home: Throughout the year we will provide regular advice and support through our weekly homework overview.
